Starbucks VIA Flavored Coffees Giveaway – CLOSED

Because it is Friday and I want to share the love of these VIAs, I thought why not a giveaway?!

Last week I discovered Starbucks VIA Flavored coffees (6-pack retails for $6.95). Okay, I didn’t so much discover it as the barista forced me (yeah, yeah he had to twist my arm) to try the vanilla flavored VIA. Even though I had gone there for a Toffee Mocha coffee, I left with my drink and box of vanilla flavored VIAs. A couple days later, I went back and purchased the mocha flavored VIAs. What can I say I love Starbucks?! They are oh so yummy! And great for the day when I don’t feel like dragging myself to Starbucks, but I am in the mood for their coffee.

Last week I made Iced Coffees for me and the hubby. It was so easy with the flavored VIA packets! Mix together flavored packet with 8oz of water in a cup, mix with milk or creamer (if you like), and add ice cubes. Yum!

Little Tikes Spray & Rescue Fire Truck Giveaway – CLOSED

Little Tikes is celebrating their 40th anniversary in business!

Little Monkey needed a little help with his Spray & Rescue Fire Truck since he was going uphill.

It is as much fun for a 3 year old as it is for a 10 year old (my brother-in-law) who was hot and waiting to get sprayed with water.

Little Tikes Spray and Rescue Fire Truck is so adorable! There is assembly required. And I will admit that the hubby put this together, but it is only because one of us had to distract our toddler while one of us put his truck together. It only took the hubby one attempt to put everything together – and no there were no extra pieces left over.

We let our little guy ride his Spray and Rescue Fire Truck around the house, but we are sure to empty out the water tank so that our house isn’t soggy. Little Monkey enjoys his truck with or without the water fun.

Not only can your little ones water your garden, but my little guy and his uncle enjoyed just soaking each other while we were outside on a sunny day. I like this truck because right now my little guy is still struggling with pedals and manually scoots his bike while he sits on it. So this one he enjoys because he feels in control of it. And Little Tikes is the maker of his other favorite toy the Cozy Coupe. We don’t own this toy, but you can be sure that the places we have been that there has been one we can’t get him out.

Cascade’s 24 Hour Challenge – CLOSED

When I was contacted by My Blog Spark to take Cascade’s 24 Hour Challenge, I jumped at the opportunity. I’ve been wanting to try the new Cascade All-in-1 ActionPacs already but I just wasn’t sure about it yet. Before we tried the All-in-1 ActionPacs, we were using the regular Cascade with Dawn ActionPacs and I rinsed the dishes beforehand.

The 24 Hour Challenge asked that we make a Blueberry Cobbler. Once we were done eating up that delicious Blueberry Cobbler we were to set out the plate for 24 hours before putting it in the dishwasher. Oh and did I mention they said No Rinsing?! It was hard. So hard that I had the hubby load the dishwasher without rinsing the dish for me. Here were my results:

I was really expecting to have to rewash this dish. I was more than pleased with the results. I will definitely be switching over to Cascade All-in-1 Actionpacs! I may have tried this experiment with a Blueberry Cobbler on more than one occasion. That Blueberry Cobbler was delicious!

Birthday love with giveaway! – CLOSED

It’s almost my birthday!!! Yeah! I know, I know…really, who gets excited about turning 28? I’m not really thrilled, but surprisingly enough I’m not having a major meltdown. Yes, I am shocked myself. More Barefoot Wine please!

Barefoot wines were originally introduced in 1965 by self-taught California winemaker Davis Bynum. After years of making “garage-style” home wines, Bynum opened up a winery in Alameda Davis and released Barefoot Bynum Burgundy for sale in his tasting room only.

In 1986, Michael Houlihan and his partner Bonnie Harvey purchased the brand and set about reviving “the Foot.” They launched the new “Barefoot Cellars” with two varietals: Barefoot California Cabernet Sauvignon and Barefoot California Sauvignon Blanc.

I love a glass of wine every now and then to relax and wind down. Doesn’t everyone?! Barefoot Wines sent me two bottles to try Zinfandel andBrut Cuvée Champagne…that’s after the hubby and I went out and bought a delicious White Zinfandel by Barefoot. My best friend and cousin through marriage read my tweet that I was sitting down to have a glass of wine with dinner and she replied “Barefoot white zin is the best stuff on earth… seriously… love it!” The White Zinfandel is crisp. It has a light hint of fruit taste. The bottle says flavors like Georgia peach and pineapple, sun-ripened strawberries and succulent pear. Yum. I was a little worried when I saw that Barefoot sent a Zinfandel (red) wine. You see I can’t drink even just a glass of red wine without feeling like I’ve spent a night out on the town throwing back shots. No next day hangover. Yeah! It had a strong full taste, but not overbearing. This red wine would be perfect for a Sangria! We have a Brut Cuvée Champagne to try this weekend in celebration for a house warming party. I’ll definitely update with my thoughts on the Champagne.

For Those About to Hop

The Imagination Movers – Rich, Scott, Dave and Smitty — began in New Orleans in 2003 and now are fast-rising stars on the national kids music scene thanks to their combination of radio-friendly songs, kid-friendly themes and dynamic live shows. In concert, the Movers teach high-energy dances, play games with the audience and make music on their one-of-a-kind trashcan drumset. Kids and parents help perform new kids classics like “Shakable You,” “The Medicine Song,” “What’s in the Fridge?” and “I Want My Mommy (Time for Bed).”

Finally a kid’s show that doesn’t make me want to jump out the window! Little Monkey LOVES the Imagination Movers. Very often I find him getting down, standing up, and then turning around and around and around…that is one of their regularly played songs in the show. Believe me it took me forever to wonder why my son would squat, stand up, and spin. I thought he was cool enough to come up with this on his own! The Imagination Mover’s just released their newest album “For Those About to Hop”! This was the first time I put on a children’s cd for Little Monkey. He was surely confused when he heard the music, but couldn’t see the show. Little Monkey definitely works up a sweat when this cd comes on and so do I – since we run around the house dancing to the cd! My fave songs are “Jungle Room”, “Mother in You”, and “Fix It Up” just to name a few.
