to Daily Deal Sites. Oh yeah!
I am a Stay at Home Mom to two boys and I feel guilty paying full price for anything these days – especially stuff for myself. Enter daily deal sites to the rescue! $29 for $70 worth of a haircut and deep conditioning treatment – sweet! Mexican food from our fave local restaurant at $15 for $30 worth of food – sweet! $20 for $40 worth of Fairytale Brownies – sweet! $15 for $30 worth of cupcakes from a local bakery – sweet! $39 for an $80 hot stone massage – sweet! You get my point. If you couldn’t tell I am a sucker for restaurants and dessert deals, but I love the other deals as well.
Here is my biggest problem – remembering which sites I used to buy at and using them before they expire. I just recently had my second baby and I have baby brain. I can’t remember anything without writing it down – even then stuff gets lost in the mix. I have to search my emails to find the confirmations. The solution is here!!! It is called CityPockets and I LOVE them! If you follow me on Twitter, then you may have seen my tweets when I discovered them on July 15th thanks to Netted‘s daily email. They allow me to import my daily deal vouchers from the sites they have listed – i.e. Groupon, LivingSocial, MamaSource, etc. (and they have a spreadsheet for other sites they haven’t added yet).
Not only does it organize your daily deal, but CityPockets has a marketplace so that you can buy daily deals that you missed or sell the daily deals that you won’t be able to use. I sold a voucher almost as soon as I signed up. And it was easier than I expected! I listed the price I wanted to sell my voucher for. And once it sold I was notified that I received my payment via Paypal. Woo hoo! Especially since it was going to go to waste because I wouldn’t be able to use it before it expired.
Citypockets also has an app for both Droids and iPhone. Yes, I do have the app for that!
Thank you to The Team at Citypockets for making my life just a little bit easier!
