I moved to WordPress!

Alright, I made the move. It is a little overwhelming still. And I am learning slowly but surely.

Many thanks to Blogger To WordPress Migration Service!!! I must have broken everything I could have trying to do the changeover myself. That is when I realized it just wasn’t worth it. I was tired of having support walk me through everything that I did wrong. Blogger to WordPress Migration Service took all the pain out of the move for me! I can’t believe how quickly they got all my stuff moved over for me. I was spending hours fighting with plugins (to not lose my posts and comments) and my google apps (not to lose my email). They fixed everything that I broke and I didn’t lose my email, posts, comments, or even feedburner subscribers! Yeah! I just wish I had thought out how to redesign my theme from my Blogger before I jumped head over feet into this, but rTCamp did a great job keeping the same theme for me.

Starting new

It’s crazy I know but with this big East Coast to West Coast move I am feeling the need to start a lot of things new. One of which I am currently working on is getting my blog on WordPress. I took the plunge, but not knowing enough about what I was doing I broke just about everything trying to move my blog over. So I broke down and got a service to help me. Hopefully the switch will be finished by Saturday, but I did manage to throw a little loop in the time schedule with all my attempts to do this myself I messed with some things as I was trying the setup. The look will still be the same, but hopefully WordPress will get me a little more organized. Yeah for WordPress! Boo for having to learn how to use WordPress. I have some experience with it, but not enough to say I am a professional WordPress user. Wish me luck!

Any suggestions for this soon-to-be WordPress user?

It is really happening.

Hey there readers! I am alive! I promise. Currently living as a gypsy with no permanent home until the end of this month when we will end up on the WEST COAST. Yep. You read that correctly. This East Coast girl is moving to California with her little family. In the meantime, we are hanging out in Florida with family and friends while the hubby is working out of the country.

This West Coast move has been a sore subject. Whenever anyone asks about our move I usually fight back tears at the fact that we will be a day and 20 hours of a non-stop drive away from my family. I am now finally starting to look to the bright side. It is happening and I can’t stop it. So I might as well make the best of it and find my local mom groups, nearest malls, and lots of parks that will be close to our new home.
Any suggestions on how to make a smooth transition to a brand new environment?
