Apparently my use of the phrase mommy burnout out sent a couple of people packing. I didn’t give up on my blog. In my real life (outside of this blog) I was feeling burned out and exhausted.
I had the opportunity on Saturday to attend the SITS Bloggy Boot Camp in Baltimore and stayed the night in a gorgeous hotel with a King size bed all for me!!! Nothing helps recharge the batteries than getting to be around other bloggers and spending the night away to get some me time. I love my family, but sometimes it is nice to just get away even if it is just for 27 hours! It really made me miss my hubby and Little Monkey.
I’m planning on a short post on my experience at SITS Bloggy Boot Camp in the next day or so since today has been a wash with my fun appointment at the dentist. I thought I had a painful toothache on Saturday afternoon/night, but it turned out to be TMJ. Fun, fun, fun! I guess things can always be worse. My dentist’s suggestion for relief is a night guard that will surely make me all the more sexy to my husband with a lisp and drool. Oh and thanks to my insurance company for obviously thinking that TMJ is not a real condition by not covering any portion of my night guard. In the meantime, I will be swallowing ibuprofen, using moist heat on my jaw, and chewing soft foods. It’s a party over here!
So if TMJ doesn’t scream mommy burnout…I don’t know what does! Seriously though I heard some really great things at the Bloggy Boot Camp that should help me to start reducing the amount of stress in my life which is mostly brought on by myself.
In the meantime while I recover from this painful bout of TMJ, The Mommyologist wrote a great post on a crash course from what we learned at the SITS Bloggy Boot Camp. Enjoy!

I hope you feel better. I can't wait to read about your experience at Bloggy Boot Camp since I couldn't go. I think we've all suffered from mommy burnout from the constant demands. Stopping by from SITS.
I just went on vacation and am feeling burnt out myself.
For some reason all the bumps in life pile up in a nice neat row for me.
Always seems right after a nice fun stress free time too.
well got to go ttfn
I wanna hear all about your time from Bloggy Boot Camp! I'm waiting rather impatiently for one to roll around to my neck of the woods. (The closest would be Austin, but I'm from Jersey/Philly so I can pull off a visit to mom, too.)
Hi from SITS (obviously).

Been missing ya! Glad to see you are back, can't wait to hear more about your trip. I had hoped to get there, it's about 8 hours drive from me, but not so much with all I have going on personally.
Glad to hear from you, miss reading your blog!! Have a great week!
Sorry to hear about the TMJ–did you already buy the night guard? Just wondering, because a few years ago, I was having TMJ and jaw clenching problems; my dentist suggested an expensive guard that my insurance wouldn't cover…I had to do something so I went to Wal-mart and bought a $2 mouth guard from the Sporting Goods section, molded it to my mouth, wore it for a few weeks, and voila! no more mouth pain. On occasions I will start having trouble again. I'll wear the guard for a week or so and I'm good to go for a long time. I know everyone is different, but if you haven't forked out the money for that guard you might want to try my suggestion
Hope you feel better!
Hope you have a chance to come say hi.
Cheers, Lia
Hope you feel better soon. Visiting from SITS.
I can completely relate on the TMJ. I've been dealing with it off and on for about 12 years or so. I tried a night guard a few years back to help with night grinding but would end up taking it off in the middle of the night and putting it on my dresser. So, who knows what good it was doing?
My new dentist would like me to give it another try so I have to make an appointment to have a new one fitted. And luckily for me, my insurance is covering the whole cost
Thanks for visiting my blog!
