I LOVE the power of Twitter

Not only can you find out the most current news, sales, things going on with your friends, but you can connect with your favorite stores, restaurants, and celebrities.

In September, we moved to our new place and switched over to a new cable company. I had a few frustrations with the new cable company. One being that the flighty person that talked to my hubby over the phone told us that our new channels (expanded to receive more kid channels for Little Monkey and Oxygen for me) would be available right away and the other being that we had to join a waiting list for our DVRs. We waited a couple of hours and no new channels. That is when I took my frustration to twitter. Imagine my surprise when I was contacted by customer service rep after-hours on a Friday night! The customer service rep was awesome! She addressed all our issues. Of course, she couldn’t solve our lack of DVRs any faster because that is just common issue with our area since DVRs aren’t a big selling point so they keep them in stock less. Our channels were up within minutes of her researching the issue. I was so glad that we didn’t have to be without those channels for Little Monkey an entire weekend while we were still trying to unpack our new place.

I ♥ Twitter!

Now I am not advocating that you use Twitter only to put all your gripes and frustrations with companies. I get great feedback from friends whenever I have a question or problem. Twitter has also allowed me to make some really fun Twitter friends.

  1. That's awesome! I love twitter too :)

  2. I found out MJ & Swayze died through Twitter. I can't remember the last time I actually watched the news *gasp*. And I have aired my fair share of frustrations –are you listening Sonic– as well.

Twitter is so amazing! I follow USArmy on twitter. Which may or may not be a great idea, since my husband-to-be is going to Afghanistan next year!

Good for you! Yes, Twitter is sort of an addiction for me. I sometimes use it to randomly shout out frustrations to somebody, anybody and everybody (!)… Plus I have met so many nice people. It is like networking from your chair. Truly awesome… and of course sometimes I have gal pals who send me important information via Twitter like where I can find all of the past Cougartown episodes. (wink, wink!)

That is awesome! I am going to have to remember that if I ever get bad service from a company.

I love Twitter, too. Why I find other people's lives so fascinating I have no idea! I mean, I really don't care what someone else is cooking for dinner…but darn it if Twitter doesn't somehow make it much more interesting! lol

I haven't gotten in to Twitter. I have a hard enough time to fit in what I pay attention to already!! I do have an account…just never read it!LOL

  12. I'm right here with you. A lot of companies are now on Twitter and I have experienced the same thing you did. Like any application, making use of it's benefit to your advantage is always best! I'm sure anyone agrees to that, right?
