Barely Domestic Mama

Must finish packing…

In case I haven’t mentioned, I am trying hard not to freak out at the thought of selling our home. It is killing me at the thought of packing up our lives into boxes. This is probably why I was not a great military wife. The thought of being moved elsewhere scared me unlike the other wives I met who couldn’t wait to travel to their next station. I am already 12 hours from my parents, good friends, and extended family…how much further do I need to go?! No one warned me about the opportunity of moving when my hubby had become a civilian. Argh! The company that the hubby works for has a military contract that will allow us to go to Germany, Japan, and San Francisco! Ummmmm….all of those are really FAR from my home state Florida. I am trying to stay positive, but I am slowly starting to melt down. We really have no idea where we are going until September. I feel lost. I don’t have a place to plan for, I don’t know what we are doing, and all this with a toddler! I am very thankful that my hubby has a job and that the worst we are looking at is moving. Believe me very, very thankful!

In other news…Forever and Always featured Barely Domestic Mama on her Share A Blog post yesterday! Awwwww. I feel so loved! Thanks Ashley!

Oh gosh girl I am with you on moving so much and being away from my family, but at the same time YOU CAN DO THIS! I am sending you hugs and best wishes!

I am here if you ever need a friend – even though I am in New Hampshire – I am just an email away!!

  2. My good friend went through this recently, and I can't even imagine the agony of just not knowing. Her husband is in Iraq now, and I know she wishes she were closer to her family and friends, especially with her kids.

Ooh, I feel for ya, girlie. I moved literally across the street and I had a nervous breakdown packing all my stuff up. Glad you are trying to keep positive, I can't imagine. Luckily the internet is the same regardless of where ya go, huh?

Moving can be very stressful. I, on the other hand, get antsy after we've lived in one place more than 2 years. DH and I went through a time where we moved 5 times in 6 years. Thankfully we didn't have kids for all those moves.

  5. Moving is so painful!!! Where does all that stuff come from anyway? HA!

Saying hi from SITS and wishing you good luck in the packing and a great day!
