Yesterday was a sad day. I dreaded this day, but I knew it had been coming for a while. I had to say good-bye to most of my makeup. It has been way past most of their shelf lives. Since I quit my job to be a SAHM, money has been tight. Extremely, uncomfortably tight. Makeup has now turned into a want, not a need…and to me that is sad. I LOVE makeup. Sephora is my heaven. I am not a stick to one brand cosmetic type girl. I like to mix it up. I had to say good-bye last night to Smashbox, Urban Decay, Stila, Dior, Nars – just to name a few. I feel the tears starting to well up again. Lord knows the day I will be able to buy makeup as freely as I use to. I will probably still be in mourning for a while, my makeup drawer in my bathroom looks so empty and sad. In the meantime, I signed up to win a wish from Sephora because I am a Beauty Insider. Any product I want under $300, so for my wish I chose Smashbox Beauty Blockbuster – Black Bag Set…hey a girl can dream, right?!

Couldn’t you cut something else out? Like…maybe lunch? Or….consistent heat? Ugh…that is indeed a sad day. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Benefit….and MAC….and Stila…oh, I’m going to have to stop now.

I would be crying too. And so would my family for that matter. Me without makeup…..scary!
